It's Giving Face is a selfie journaling and daily face-check app. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Face data (important)

It's Giving Face lets you capture selfies and receive an AI-generated compliment on the captured photo. Here is exactly how that face image is handled:

• Stored locally only. Every selfie you capture is saved to your device's local storage. It is not uploaded to our servers in the background and is not used to train any AI model.
• Transient upload for compliments. When you explicitly tap to receive a compliment, the photo is sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to our AI compliment provider, used only to generate the response, and is not retained server-side after the request completes.
• No biometric identification. The app does not run face recognition, face matching, or any form of biometric identification. It does not build a face template, identity profile, or biometric database.
• No sharing for ads or analytics. Selfies are never shared with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.
• Your control. You can delete every selfie from the app at any time via Settings → Reset, or by deleting the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible.

Information the app handles

• Photos you choose to capture or save in the app.
• Your daily entries, vibe tags, compliments, streaks, archive, and settings.
• If you use Crew, your display name, crew invite code, daily post image, vibe, compliment, and post date are sent to the app backend so your invited crew can view them.
• Subscription status is handled through Apple and RevenueCat so premium features can be unlocked or restored.

How information is used

Information is used to provide the app's core features: saving your face archive, generating editorial captions or cover-style outputs, syncing crew posts, maintaining streaks, and managing subscriptions.

AI processing

When you request AI-powered compliments, vibe detection, or cover-shoot features, the selected photo and prompt data may be sent to the app's AI processing provider through Rork's toolkit proxy to generate the requested result.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Crew posts are shared with people who have access to your crew invite code. Service providers may process information only as needed to operate app features.

Your choices

You can delete local app data by removing the app from your device. You can leave a crew inside the app. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID App Store settings.

Children

It's Giving Face is rated 12+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
